Ordained to Serve
In October 2019, with Pastor Rex A. Peel’s support, Bishop Napoleon Harris introduced Dr. Charles Lewis and Louisa as new pastors of TRANSFORMED by the WORD Church of God in Christ to Bishop Ocie Booker. Following Pastor Charles Lewis’s passing, Dr. Louisa continued leading the church with Bishop Booker’s endorsement, maintaining their steadfast focus on outreach and missions.
Ministry, Marriage, and Mission
Dr. Lewis’s life reflects a calling pursued through faith, family, and service to women and girls across the community.
Marriage and Continued Leadership
She married Dr. Charles Rodney on May 19, 2019, and they spent nearly three years in marital joy together. After Pastor Charles Lewis’s passing, Dr. Louisa continued leading the church with Bishop Booker’s endorsement, maintaining their focus on outreach and missions.

She serves as the Executor of AM I MY SISTERS’ KEEPER? (AIMSK?) RETREATS, INC., where she integrates her biblical teaching and counseling expertise to empower girls and women to strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives, supporting their growth in personal ministry for the Glory of God.
15 Years of Organized Ministry
For the past 15 years, AIMSK? has organized Retreats, Luncheons, Prayer Conferences, and a Weekly Prayer Teleconference, bringing women and girls together in faith and fellowship.
Resource Referrals and Practical Support
AIMSK? RETREATS, INC. also continues to provide resource referrals, helping girls and women access higher education, grants, housing, homemaker services, social security disability, veteran benefits, student loan forgiveness, and other necessary services.

Dr. Lewis matriculated through the Chicago Public School system for her formal education. Her academic journey reflects her lifelong commitment to understanding and serving people through both faith and professional expertise.

For 20 years she was employed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, and served as one of the writers for Policy and Procedure Protocol for the Intact Family Services program.
Faith Roots and Family
Louisa is the proud daughter of Lucille Peel, Assistant Supervisor of First Jurisdiction of Illinois, and the late Pastor Ollie Peel. Her parents modeled a devout life for their children, encouraging them to take their faith seriously and commit fully to God.
Louisa is the third youngest among nine siblings. She shares a close bond with her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and all members of Transformed by the WORD Church. Louisa holds a license as an Evangelist in the Church of GOD in Christ.
